mermeye

This is my last drawing which I call Mermeye. This particular drawing is all made digitally. I used a digital airbrush as a tool and Corel 12 as a software. The original design was made in my sketchbook with pencil; it started with some women's lines and then I add the fish tale and the eye. Because I did like the design, I decided to take a steep forward and draw it digitally. Furthermore, I draw the whole in a grey scale and I changed the colors to these blue and pink, which I believe rehance the final results. Moreover, I would like to develop the drawing forward and design a background.

Rootheart

This is my new creation which I call Rootheart. I design this picture with the following process:
First, I took a picture of a beetroot which I manipulated in photoshop; I deleted the background and multiply it several times in order to created this heart flower shape. Secondly, I took a still from my animacion in which ink is falling into a fish tank. I duplicated the layer twice and played with the color and saturation. Finally, I applied  some lighting to the layers. Furthermore,I believe this picture represent very well the mood of my lats animation.

The Fold; the ocean's scene

This one is a still from my animation, The Fold. As I commented before, this is the image inside the brain within the poster. This image had a very long process; I draw the whole digitally on Corel 12, after I add many different layer of the see in differents ranges of blue, I also play with the exposure and tone. Every bottle had a separated layer in order to move them in After Effects. I created for the sky three differents layers; one with a plain color, the second one is ink falling, filming it on a tank of water. The third one is glitter which I take pictures in a green screen background in order to make the starts.
I believe this is a strong image which hopefully capture the full attention of the viewer through a journey to the subconscious mind.

The Fold: poster

This is the poster's design for my new animation The Fold. I draw the head with the pipes and the planet digitally using a digital airbrush on Corel12. The sea inside the head is a still from my animacion which, I also draw digitally with different layer in order to do the movement in AfterEffects. The purple background had a longer processes. First, I took a still from my of ink experiments which are include in one section of the animation. Second, I took the image to Photoshop and manipulated the color and contrast. Third, I created this mapping background with the same image using the dark areas in the middle and, the light ones in the corners in order to created more depth. After that, I add the text.
Furthermore, my new animation The Fold is inspired by the writing of the French philosopher Gilles Deleuze; in which a thought has many folds inside; this folding inside is what he calls the "forces of the outside".

Luna

This is a drawing of my niece Luna. I made this drawing on paper with color pencils and add some adjustments digitally. I did this drawing for my niece's birthday as a gift. Moreover, I would like to puss a bit further my experimentation on real paint on paper to develop a way of drawing and also, to acquire more skill in a different media.
